Somewhere between two and four million dogs are consumed in South Korea every year, but the slaughtering and processing is carried out in dirty environments and poses a risks to diners’ health. In Apr 2008, the Seoul government has proposed reclassifying dogs as livestock so it can set food safety standards. Remind me not to have any South Korean street stir fry!

This is a pretty good site on making your own cat food. The layout is admittedly old school circa 1995 but the amount of detail and links in it are valuable. If the recent mass recalls of tainted ground beef in our own *human* foods is any indication, we still need to be wary of tainted pet food. The rules and regulations regarding oversight on pet foods are largely just suggestions. Make sure that what you’re feeding your pet is of high quality. Maybe the best alternative is cooking up your own?

This is the kind of stuff that just makes you sick to your stomach. It’s most unlikely that he’ll serve a day in jail. Hopefully they’ll fine him till he can’t breathe and then get kicked off the PGA. That would probably hurt him more than a few months in jail. Of course, if it’s anything like OZ, he may get even more justice there!

Does your dog just lay around the house and wait for the next meal? Well, tell him to get up and *do* something with his life like these puppies! Actually, if we could do as much as these dogs, who knows what we could accomplish. Alexander’s dog conquered the known world!

Find out where pet store puppies really come from. Another good reason to get your dogs from the pound. Is it sooo important to have “pure breds” with papers and authentication? No. You are getting a new addition to your family, not a new employee.

This isn’t exactly killing two birds with one stone because no birds are getting killed! It *is* a cute illustration of a really really friendly cat. Most cats would have eaten the little chickens at first sight. I know mine would have! I don’t think I’d try this at home folks…
